Meet The Nissan e-4ORCE 04 Gen3

The Nissan Formula E team has released its new livery for the 2023 Formula E season, which will be the first season to run with the brand new Gen3 Formula E cars.

The livery is inspired by cherry blossom, which is synonymous with Japan, and the striking red & white colour scheme lends itself well with the sharp and cutting design of the new style of car.

The Nissan team will be running with its own name for the first time in Formula E, after purchasing the e.dams team earlier on in 2022.

Tommaso Volpe, General Manager of Nissan Formula E said;

“We wanted to create something totally different and unique for this season to mark such an important moment for us in Formula E, and also to celebrate our Japanese DNA.

“The upcoming campaign is a big moment for the series, with the introduction of the Gen3 cars. But it’s also key for us at Nissan, with the team running under its new name as we take full ownership of all our operations in Formula E. All of us at Nissan are very excited for this new beginning, very motivated to tackle this new challenge, and very much looking forward to getting started.”

New Driver Lineup Also Announced

Alongside the car launch, the Nissan team also announced a brand new driver lineup for the 2023 season.

Norman Nato, who won the Formula E Berlin ePrix in 2021, has joined the team after spending the 2022 season as a reserve driver for Jaguar TCS Racing.

Nato will be partnering with fellow Frenchman Sacha Fenestraz, with the 23-year-old having experience with Formula E after competing in the Seoul ePrix last year.

When Does The Formula E Season Start?

The 2023 Formula E season starts on the 14th of January in Mexico City.

Testing for the new season gets underway in Valencia on the 13th of December. There are a total of six testing sessions, split across three days.
